Poem for June 9

June 16, 2012 § Leave a comment

Nearing Summer

A warm film
coats everything
poisoning everything,
so the only prayer
I can muster lately
goes You’re alright,
Chris. Everything
is alright.
What the fuck
is that? What sort of
god have I ruined
in me? Wide tree,
what are you like?
